Job Summary

The University of Southern Indiana is seeking a full-time, benefit eligible Custodial Worker. This third shift (Sunday through Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am) position will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities, with a special emphasis on floor utility (stripping and waxing floors, operating floor utility equipment, etc.) The Custodial Worker is responsible for general cleaning (floors, classrooms, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, conference rooms, laboratories, other related areas), disposal of trash and recyclables, setting up for events, and assisting in snow removal from building entrances and adjacent walkways as needed. This position receives daily direction from a Lead Custodial Worker or Shift Supervisor.

High school diploma/GED required. Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete tasks within an allotted timeframe required.

MS1/$9.70 per hour
Effective July 1, 2018, the hourly rate will increase to $10.66 per hour.
