Job Summary

The University of Southern Indiana is seeking a full-time Housing Grounds / Custodial Worker. This first shift position (Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm) will provide a full range of grounds and custodial duties within the student housing complex at USI. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform general cleaning of apartment and residence hall interior and exterior spaces, offices, conference rooms, dining rooms, and other related areas.
- Clean exterior sidewalks, stairwells, and elevated walks.
- Assist in snow removal from building entrances and adjacent walkways.
- Dispose of trash, biohazards, and recyclables properly.
- Perform landscaping, grounds maintenance, and roads maintenance tasks in a multi-building student housing complex including care of trees, turf, and plants.

High school diploma/GED required with experience in custodial or grounds work preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Frequent physical exertion and ability to work outdoors in various types of weather required.
