Position Summary Information
The Facility Operations and Planning department seeks applications for Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Workers. These temporary, seasonal positions will perform general landscape work and grass mowing on campus. Other duties include preventive maintenance and general upkeep of landscaped and turfed areas on the USI campus; roads and walkways; lakes, streams, and watersheds; playing fields and recreational facilities; as needed.
High school diploma/GED required with one year experience in grounds-keeping preferred. Operation of ground maintenance equipment, including motorized equipment and hand tools, and knowledge of routine equipment and methods preferred. Agricultural background and high mechanical aptitude preferred. Experience with tractors and trucks preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Knowledge of microcomputers, word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail software preferred.
