Position Summary Information

Job Summary

Part-time hourly support position to assist in the coordination, administration, and promotion of Opportunity Development and Outreach programs and projects, particularly in the area of Resource Development. This position will arrange meeting/program space at USI and other secure regional locations; coordinate audio-visual equipment; coordinate food services and track expenses per class; communicate the schedule of contract programs with office administrative and professional staff, and instructors; orders and provides inventory for books and supplies required for training programs and projects; and assemble and prepare materials as needed for courses and programs.

High School Diploma/GED, with three years of clerical experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated organizational skills required. High level of attention to detail, and the ability to follow projects through to completion. Must be able to work well with minimal supervision, showing initiative and good judgment. Excellent interpersonal and time management skills required. Ability to work with university faculty and administration, and the public. Interacts professionally with a wide variety of individuals from throughout the region. Represents the University at regional meetings and events. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products or similar word processing, spreadsheet, database, and electronic mail software required. Experience using web content management systems, and Banner preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license—or alternate means of facilitating local and regional travel.

Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Occasional flexible hours may be required to meet deadlines and program responsibilities. Occasional travel to local and regional locations will be necessary.

OP3/$11.25/hr ($11.48/hr post introductory period)
