Position Summary Information

Job Summary

USI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic or Senior Maintenance Mechanic to perform a wide range of maintenance work, with a concentration in painting and drywall, in a multi-building complex under supervision of the Lead Maintenance Mechanic. This position will plan, coordinate and carry out construction, maintenance, painting and equipment installation according to applicable codes and standards.

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
High school diploma /GED required. Six months experience in a minimum of one of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, heating & air conditioning, painting, and plumbing is required. MS3 $12.00/hour; Post introductory period $12.24/hour.

Senior Maintenance Requirements:
License (residential or commercial), master license, or certification (from a University approved source) in a minimum of one of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, heating & air conditioning, painting, and plumbing plus one years related work experience OR three years related work experience in two or more trades. MS4 $13.25/hour; Post introductory period $13.52/hour.

The Maintenance or Senior Maintenance position will work Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
